basketball blunders
last night we went to the grizzlies/lakers game. half of the fans were there to see the grizzlies and the other half for Kobe Bryant. let's just forget that he cheated on his wife with some girl in a hotel and who claims that he raped her...i guess those people just forgave him for that. well, that was annoying...i just don't like the Lakers one bit. there were two other games that evening that i had interest in...the Memphis/Texas A&M game and Tennessee/Ohio St. people who know me, know that i don't care for Memphis college sports. the crowd at the grizzlies game was filled with Tiger fans. they played a lot of the game during stoppage, so the fans got to see a lot of the game. they cheered and cheered, which seemed to pump up the grizzlies, almost helping them to victory. Carla and i cheered for the Aggies. then there was the Tennessee game...i have a theory about SEC teams.
if you are an SEC fan and you hear about a game where your team is winning, you shouldn't turn on the game if you aren't already watching it. i can name several instances where turning on a game after the half (basketball or football) will turn from good to bad in no time. last night was no different...we got home as the second half got underway. i flipped on the tv and the vols fell apart. i don't know what happened. tonight, we watched the Vandy game after halftime...same thing happened, the SEC team just couldn't keep up.
the SEC's final hope is Florida...the team i have been raised to hate as a Vol fan. but, when it comes down to the big games and they are the only ones left...i guess i have to cheer for the SEC team. i think they may be able to pull it off again.
