ok, so that's a lie, but the news is sometimes fun. we have a player on the Grizzlies basketball team from Spain named Pau Gasol. recently, he announced that he would like to be traded. Lorenzen Wright did the same thing last year, and that turned out to bite him in the butt. Chris Vernon, a local sports talk radio guy writes funny songs about sports teams and people...his latest is about Pau and Spain is upset. if they would just listen for the show for about a week, they would understand his humor and get over it. they seem to treat him like a god, so it is difficult for them to see him any other way. on verno's blog, http://chrisvernon.blogspot.com, you can read all of the comments that the Spaniards have left. their english is terrible which makes it even more hilarious. some of them didn't even bother writing in english, so i don't know what those people are saying.

here are my thoughts on Pau. at times he can be amazing...most of the time not. he's kindof slow and weak, but he can shoot well and take it to the hole if he'll just do it. i say good riddance, go somewhere else. i certainly don't hate the guy, but Memphis has built the team around this guy for the most part, and it is time for something new, because it ain't workin'.
